Celebrating the Human Carnival of the beach, while appealing to the surf core of the brand
Talk about getting thrown into the deep end. My partner (Cam Kokes) and I ran everything social on this account. This was way more than just captions and posting – we did that – we also flew the drone, dug the headlines in the beach, interviewed surfers, edited the videos, created the graphics, animated gifs, used our own feet as models if we needed. One time we even made a Godfather parody skit with two taxidermy seagulls. We also worked on the brand refresh, including a few lifestyle photoshoots we produced on less than a shoestring (they sell sandals, they don’t have shoestrings).

My partner and I did every aspect of production for the “Reason to Beach” Series, from writing the interview questions, to cutting together the final product. I even negotiated the licensing terms for the track. Taylor’s Reason to Beach was featured on the Surfline homepage as a featured story.
